Chateau Boskovice

Welcome to the official website

Not far from the city center, at the bottom of the castle hill visitors are overwhelmed by the stunning view of the front façade of the Chateau Boskovice. Its Empire character looks as though it’s been taken from a scene of a 19th century play.

The building itself appears to float among the surrounding landscape; it is delicately surrounded by a complex of parks and gardens. To the south the scenery transforms into large forested park, on top of which lies the monumental ruin of Castle Boskovice, where one will find a different world; not a world of fancy palaces, but a world of spirits and ghosts and remnants of an aristocratic glory from times gone by.

If you allow yourself to be drawn in by the austere yet cozy exactness of Empire architecture, Chateau Boskovice will be the source of many pleasing experiences for the eye and soul. The entrance hall is a unique reflection of rich antique inspiration. When you pass between the massive Doric columns and go up the staircase, it will seem as if you stepped into aristocratic life of the 1830’s. The uniqueness of the rooms and halls within the chateau lies in the richness of Empire shapes and colours.
